Big Red Mini Relay

The students at Steubenville High School will be participating in a Mini Relay for Life on Wednesday, May 11th from 1:45-2:30. They will walk from the High School to the Jefferson County Courthouse and back. Anyone interested in participating of donating contact Ross Ivkovich, Lynn Meter, or Danny Filtz at the following emails.

Important News from Mr. Crosier, SHS Principal

Easter Vacation is scheduled for April 21 - April 25. Classes resume on April 26.

Prom 2011 "Moment in Time" will be held on Saturday, April 30. The Promenade will begin at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The Prom will be held at the Fort Steuben Ballroom from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. The will be an Afterglow with Kurt James Fun & Games in the high school commons from 11:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $75 per couple and sold in Room 150.

SHS Academic Letter Ceremony will be held in the SHS Auditorium on Friday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Orchestra Concert will be held on Friday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium.

Orchestra Banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the diner.

Jazz Fest will be held on Friday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the SHS Commons.

SHS Academic Awards Assembly for student body will be held on Friday, May 6 at 10:00 a.m. in the SHS Auditorium.

National Honor Society Induction will be held on Thursday, May 5 in the SHS Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.

Band Concert will be held on Thursday May 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium.

Choir Concert will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium.

SHS 39th Annual Academic Awards Banquet has been schedule for Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Steubenville High School Commons. Prestigious awards and scholarships will be given to students who achieved academically during their four years at Steubenville High School.

Band/Choir/Drama Banquet will be held on Sunday, May 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the SHS Commons.

No School for staff or students on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30.

University Scholars Breakfast will be held Wednesday, June1 at 8:30 in the SHS Commons.

Commencement Practice will be held Wednesday, June 1 at 6:00 p.m. at Harding Stadium. All seniors MUST be in attendance. Caps and gowns will be distributed at this time.

Graduation - seniors will graduate on Thursday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Harding Stadium.

O.G.T. Intervention will be available during the summer for students who failed any part of the Ohio Graduation Test. Students must take ten sessions of intervention before taking the OGT test. Sessions will begin on June 6 and be completed by June 24. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in this summer instruction. Please see Mrs. Shuster in guidance if you are interested. Students must pass all parts of the Ohio Graduation Test to receive a high school diploma.

Senior Fees for the Class of 2011 is $85. Senior fees along with any past fines and fees must be paid before before graduation. Senior Fees are paid seperate from other fees. Payments should be made to Mrs. Freeman in the Principal's office. After May 27 no personal checks will be accepted as payment for senior fees or past fines and fees.
